His fishing career has taken him from the north east US to Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean and central and South America, with the last 15 years spent in Islamorada fl. Passionate about sight fishing, Capt. Chris enjoys assisting anglers with catching tarpon, bonefish, permit, redfish, snook and other species that swim in the beautiful waters of the Florida keys! Capt Chris operates a brand new 18′ Hells Bay “Marquesa” flats boat.’ I welcome anglers of all skill levels from beginners to seasoned professionals. End of October Fishing Report!

Fished with Capt Rick in the Gulf last week, wreck fishing after a bad cold front. Non stop action for Spanish Mackerel and Blue Fish, even a few bonus snapper for lunch. Action was so great my son took out his fly rod for the Spanish and slammed them on the fly. If you want a fun filled action day, call Capt Rick at Bud and Mary's

Best head boat. They used shrimp and mixed there own chum. I limited out on Yellow Tail Snapper in about 1 hr flatlining off the back and fished the trip bottom fishing (very slow) but the best charter in the Keys that I found (I went on both in Islamorada and both in Marathon).

We booked a trip with Captain Tyler Valles to fish the flats and backcountry. Captain Tyler was very accommodating, extremely knowledgeable, and motivated to provide everything we wanted to experience. His experience and professionalism made this an outstanding trip that we will definitely book again the next time we are in the Keys.
