Capt. James grew up in the Florida Keys, fishing a lot with his dad Capt. Tim Klein who is a world renown fishing guide. I was there on a 2 day backcountry fishing trip with my 18 year old son. We had Capt John Johansen the first day and captain Ted Wilson the second day. We caught a tarpon and quite a few sharks. We had a most pleasurable trip and hope to do it again soon. Captain John and Captain Ted thank you for a great time on the water. You represent Bud and Mary's very well. I hope to see you guys soon!

Straight fishing heaven! Especially, for a couple of California Boys that don't get to fish this style on the west coast. Group of six of went out for two days and sight fished for Tarpon and Snook. Also hooked into a lemon shark, a bunch of sea trout, catfish, snapper, grouper, and some other random fish. We also stayed at "The Conch House" on property for 2 nights which was super convenient for the early am departures. There's multiple captains here from sight fishing inshore to offshore. Definitely recommend this spot to start your fishing adventures. There's a kitchen onsite for breakfast or sandwiches to go. Pretty much one stop shop. If you're wanting to eat your catch go next door to Lazy Daze and they'll prepare it for you for! Here's a few pics enjoy!

Incredible Fishing Trip We had three couples who wanted to get out on the water and fish. Capt John Johansen and Capt Ted Wilson were kind enough to take us out and we had ourselves a boys vs girls fishing trip. I have to say, both captains outdid themselves as everybody had a wonderful experience. Capt Ted took excellent care of the ladies and they caught some giant grouper, shark, and jacks. Capt John kept us on big game all day. At one point, we were tripled up with two grouper and one cobia. Somehow, Capt John managed to help us land all 3 at the same time. Cannot thank these gentlemen enough for great day of fishing. Would absolutely recommend them to anybody of any skill level looking to get on some FL Keys fishing.
